boyz magazine review of 'hvarf/heim'

musical marmite moment - you either love them or you hate them. their ethereal, spooky music could only come from enchanted iceland. it's hard to tell if their popularity with gay men is because of their heartbreaking, melancholy music, or because they have a handsome, gay lead singer in jonsi birgisson. the first disc hvarf features five songs that have never been recorded, or were on their rare debut album. the second disc heim has six of their better-known songs recorded for the first time as acoustic tracks.
