we’ve just been informed that sigur rós will be collaborating with the renowned dance choreographer merce cunningham. cunningham has requested that sigur rós and radiohead write music to his forthcoming piece, to be premiered in new york city in october 2003. sigur rós have already begun writing music for the show. merce cunningham (aged 83) has been working in choreography for 50 years and is considered to be one of most influential figures in modern dance.
