on a sunny day last summer, sigur rós decided to move their equipment to the parking lot outside their studio and play olsen olsen for the neighbourhood. the icelandic artist hildur margrétardóttir, whose work space is nearby, video recorded this and has now put it up on her website, hildur.com. if you go to this website and click on the video camera image, you will find this video marked “summer in álafoss 2001”. this is a must download! (the building behind the band is the band’s infamous “swimming pool studio”.)
