sigur rós will perform with rímur chanter steindór andersen at the opening of the nordisk panorama film festival on september 24th in reykjavík. the band will play some of the songs they wrote to the chanting of 14th century icelandic song poetry (called rímur), which appeared on the the limited steindór andersen tour epin 2001. the band will play during the screening of the festival’s opening film by peter hutton, ‘skagafjordur’, which features icelandic landscape photography.
